The American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI) has elected two new members to its Board of Directors thereby expanding its composition to a total of 14, effective January 1, 2012.
“On behalf of all our AWWI Partners and Friends, we thank the members of our Board for their commitment to our shared mission and look forward to a productive 2012,” said AWWI Executive Director Abby Arnold. “When such a diverse and committed group comes together, there is powerful momentum for change.”
The AWWI Board of Directors comprises an equal number of conservation and industry representatives (seven for each caucus in 2012). The institute’s founders built this feature into AWWI’s governing structure to ensure the balanced, collaborative implementation of its mission to facilitate timely and responsible development of wind energy while protecting wildlife and wildlife habitat.
