American Wind Wildlife Institute Announces New Director of Development

The American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI) has expanded its staff with a new Director of Development, Stacie Sears.  Sears comes to AWWI from the Environmental Defense Fund, where she worked with individual donors and small private foundations.  Stacie’s experience over the last 12 years includes major gift fundraising in the conservation, higher education and health advocacy sectors, serving in both professional and volunteer capacities.

“Stacie brings to AWWI a high level of energy, as well as compelling fundraising experience with national reach,” said AWWI Executive Director Abby Arnold.  “With Stacie on board we expect AWWI will make rapid strides in expanding and diversifying support for AWWI’s key initiatives.”

Stacie directs AWWI’s fundraising activities, taking the baton from Ann Jones-Weinstock who led AWWI’s fundraising outreach over the last year while on detail from NRG Systems, an AWWI Partner and Founder.

“Ann Jones-Weinstock made AWWI stronger and more effective not only in fundraising, but also in communications, governance and strategic planning,” added Arnold. “We are very thankful to Ann and to NRG Systems, and will continue to build on those strengths.”
