Board of Directors and Members of American Wind Wildlife Institute meet in Albuquerque

The Board of Directors and members of AWWI met April 6th and 7th in Albuquerque to discuss the progress and next steps for its initiatives.  The Directors welcomed Abby Arnold as Executive Director, who brings over twenty years of experience in facilitating consensus-seeking groups as they address the nation’s challenges in managing energy resources, water, and other natural resources.  Ms. Arnold's broad understanding of federal policy and specific siting issues for wind power, other renewables and transmission lines aided the Directors and members as they debated how to best move forward with AWWI's Research, Mapping, Mitigation and Outreach & Education initiatives.  Results from the meeting will soon be ready for wider dissemination.
