Improving Access to Wind-Wildlife Science

AWWI is committed to prompt publication and dissemination of the results of its initiatives, through scientific peer-reviewed studies, case histories, and best practices. Publishing the scientific findings of AWWI-facilitated research is only the beginning. AWWI will work to improve the rate of practical and technological application of new scientific findings in the field. AWWI will show how wind energy development can be consistent with responsible wildlife and habitat protection.

AWWI prefers that siting decisions and the public debate be based on peer reviewed science. AWWI's education goal is to ensure that policymakers, regulators, journalists, and other opinion leaders have ready access to solid science on the benefits and costs of wind energy.
