About American Wind Wildlife Institute

Per its by-laws, AWWI’s Board of Directors must be chosen in equal numbers—50/50—from the wind energy industry and non-governmental organizations or governmental agencies committed to wildlife and habitat conservation.

The Board evaluates AWWI’s overall effectiveness in accomplishing its mission, assesses the overall financial vitality of the organization, evaluates contributions to the AWWI Strategic Plan goals and objectives, and utilizes adaptive management techniques to address any mid-course direction adjustments deemed necessary.
